Strengthening Field Epidemiology Mentorship in Southeast Asia

Objectives

  1. To increase the number of competent field epidemiology mentors to strengthen supervision of field epidemiology trainees for capacities to respond to disease outbreaks rapidly and effectively throughout the ASEAN+3 countries.
  2. To equip public health officers with necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to effectively implement the FETP Frontline One Health Training program in their respective countries.
  3. To assess the effectiveness of field epidemiology mentorship strengthening in ASEAN+3 countries.
  4. To build field epidemiology mentors’ capacity in the ASEAN+3 countries
  5. To develop guideline for mentors in designing their FETP curricula.
  6. To develop protocol of the “1st Mentorship Conference of ASEAN+3 FETN.

Activities

  1. FETP Frontline One Health Training.
  2. Review of mentorship program in ASEAN+3 FETN countries.
  3. Recruiting FETP graduates to train in the 16th Batch of IFETP: Training of Trainer.
  4. Providing a suitable FETP standard reference curriculum.
  5. Developing the protocol of the “1st Mentorship Conference of ASEAN+3 FETN.
